So.. what's the next lens on your list? Mine currently..
Sigma 150-500mm (Just tried it, seems super fun, love the zoom range) Canon 17-40 (Affordable L with a good general range) Canon 70-200 f4 (Affordable L with a nice telephoto range) Dunno what's coming first. I wouldn't mind extending my 18-200mm range to include an 800mm equivalent..

Yesterday I bought the Canon 17-85mm f/4-5.6 USM IS,
After a few paychecks, I plan on picking up the 70-200mm f/4L |

White lenses have a nice appeal, but there's something about an huge black tube hanging onto my XTi that I like. (Looked at a few samples I took, incredible IQ considering the 800mm equivalent and that they were handheld shots at ISO 200.)

i so want to be that nature/bird photographer who wears all camo (including a hat with a bunch of twigs and leaves glued onto it) with a glaringly bright white camera! it may get me fewer shots. . .but i'd look cool at least right? (well minus the hat maybe!). lol

And why don't we just slap on some chrome accents and diamonds while we're at it, hm?

Probably the 17-85mm IS USM as a replacement for the kit lens.
Would like for there to be a medium-sized, decently fast lens in the 17-100mm range (is that asking for too much?).

I'm really hoping to get the Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM,
only to cover my wide end. I should have the two basics for starting in photography. My only lens right now is the EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM. |

I'd buy a canon 17-55 f2.8 if I could get a good deal. Otherwise, currently I'm happy with my 2 lenses.

I ordered a 18-135mm VR Nikon lense. The 70 - 300mm is a little to powerful when it comes to table shots or on the dance floor shooting pictues.

I've been looking to get a zoom to fill in the space between my 12-24 and my 70-300, but nothing has made me want to jump yet. I'm also eying the Tokina 35mm Macro. If I were to win the lottery, I'd be grabbing the 70-200VR, 200-400VR and a 600VR. (Of course, I'd need a D3 and D300 to go with.) If it were one of those mega jackpots, I'd throw in the monster zoom!

I just bought the 17-85, in fact it should be delivered any minute now when the postman makes his rounds. I'll let you know how I like it. The reviews on fredmiranda were kind of mixed, but almost all the pros seemed to say, if you don't compare it to L glass, it's a great lens.
