I find it to be very useful. It fits quite a lot of stuff. The only camera bag that I find is very protective, and has a lot of functionality. Well thought of. Quality is also top notch.

I use a 3rd party shoulder strap to carry my Lowepro bag.

The strap that came with the bag isn't as nice as this one. The Deluxe Shoulder Strap contours to your shoulder. It helps in some crazy major ways when you have to lug a heavier bag!

Great thread! I've been looking at getting a decent bag, one that can hold my body plus a few lenses as i start up my collection. That lowepro D300 Stealth Reporter looks nice but i'm not sure if I want to drop $100 on a bag. I guess I might just have to if I want a good one though.

I've too many darn bags! Never could decide on one .. I now use each as the occasion warrants.

Lowepro sideline shooter:
My favourite walkaround bag in summer. Easy to wear, easy to reach for the camera.

Lowepro compact AW:
My photo-luggage on trips. It pretty much holds everything I have. Rugged and good looking.

Tamrac velocity 3:
Most used bag. A daily carry-around. Easily holds a DSLR with lens, water bottle, flash and my 8.9" convertible Tablet/notebook.

Lowepro slingshot 200 AW:
Great for travel and street shooting when I'm on the move.

Tamrac system 6:
I take this as a walkaround when I need to carry a bit more photo gear than what the Velocity 3 allows. However, it cannot hold my 8.9" subnotebook/ tablet. But it does hold my Sony UX490n UMPC.

I have the Tamrac Expedition 5 backpack and love it. It is big enough to carry my camera with a couple of big lenses, and my tripod strapped to it, but not too big where I feel like I am back in the military and hiking with a full pack. The only downside is I can't carry both my computer and my camera at the same time.

I do see that Tamrac has upgraded their Expedition series this year to also include a laptop pouch, so I am looking at upsizing a bit to the Expedition 7X.

I have the standard Nikon bag fits my camera, flash and 3 lenses but as my lens collection grows, I can see this si not the ideal bag for me....

Of course that being said, it forces you to think what lenses you choose when you go out to shoot.

I have a Slingshot 200 AW and it doesn't have much. There's the XTi, kit lens attached, (Eew) 50mm f/1.8, 75-300mm III (Also Eew) and an old 380EX (Or similar) flash. If I get the Sigma 18-200mm then all that'll be left is the body, 50mm, and flash. Good because I need room for regular stuff when I'm travelling. (Top compartment is not big enough)


Edit: Just got a Nova 1 AW. It's a bit cramped with my XTi and grip plus Sigma 18-200 with hood reversed, but it works well enough. I'm still lusting for an Orion Trekker or similar.

Just picked this up at MEC. If you want a small bag that can carry camera, one big lens and maybe one small lens this is pretty good.

My mission with this bag is to have a camera bag that doesnt look like a camera bag. You lose some of the padding that normal camera bags have but you dont look like you have a camera.

I can fit my D80, my 18-200 and my 50mm and an extra battery into that thing.

I tend to wear it across shoulder with the body and lens mostly at my side so i can football cradle it. even if someone cuts the strap you just cradle. And the camera stays in front of your body for most part.
