Congrats!! I'm guessing either it will be a strobist camera or IR camera.

Definitely IR.

What is this Strobist you speak of?

Excellent!

Strobist? It is the off-camera flash movement. The D70 is highly spoken of over there due to the high flash sync speed. The D70 uses a hybrid shutter/electronic shutter.

Checkout David Hobby's website to see what CHH's talking about:

I knew it had a high flash sync speed, but never knew where I could put it to use.

I'm going to poke around over there. Theres always something to be learned.

Got it in today. Judging by the outside it smells (and looks) like it was used in a garage. Hopefully it will clean up nice with some Wet Ones. I had to throw away the strap, it was frayed and stunk. Took a few photos with it, I thought I remember the image quality being better. One nice thing about it is it has only seen 2600 or so clicks. Man, have I been spoiled by the LCD on my D90. Its a bear to look at. Another thing that's got me raising an eyebrow is that one of the panels on the top is silver instead of black. I wonder if it has had work done before... I'll snap a photo to show tomorrow.
